Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 好多地方译为中国的古话“情人眼里出西施”略有差别，因为从英语层面去理解是“美丽来自于目睹者的眼中”。个人认为，这个意思更多的是指，当一个人的眼睛（可以引申为心灵）是美丽的时候，他所看到的一切美丽的东西皆是美好的。
