This article emphasizes the request and response relationship between service requesters and service providers. The suggested approach increases the value of the Internet as a network for distributed computing and system integration -- even for users with little computer science background. Under the proposed practice, the use of semantic Web services is a simple "cut-copy-paste" process.

Recommendation: McCool's paper "Rethinking the Semantic Web, Part I/II". IEEE Internet Computing. Nov/Dec 2005 & Jan/Feb 2006. McCool said the so-called semantic Web failed and will fail. His solution emphasized "simplicity". It's the same routine to developing semantic Web services.
